Nk'Mip Desert & Heritage Centre

The Nk'Mip Desert & Heritage Centre is located in Osoyoos. They celebrate history and culture of the Okanagan First Nation, and the desert lands that they have lived on for thousands of years the Nk'mip Desert lands are one of Canada's three most endangersed eco-systems and are home to many rare plant and animal species. Hiking and Cycling Trails

There are a number of trails used for both hiking and biking in Osoyoos, each with different levels of difficulties.

The Osoyoos Canal trail travels along the old irrigation canal that was once used by area orchardists to water their orchards. Mount Kobau lookout trails offer a beautiful view of the Okanagan valley and is geared more towards those who want to really get away from the mainstream of things. For a gentle walk along the Okanagan river, there is the Kettle Valley railway bed that travels north to Oliver.

Osoyoos Desert Centre

Discover the flora and fauna of the only true desert in Canada. The Osoyoos Desert Centre has many well educated staff members that will be only to happy to answer any questions you may have as you enjoy a guided walk along the 1.5 km boardwalk.

Skiing & Snowboarding, Snowshoeing & Crosscountry Skiing

Mount Baldy Ski Resort

Mount Baldy Ski Resort is located approximately 45 minutes driving time from Osoyoos. Bird Watching

There are a number of bird watching sights in the Osoyoos area. Located south of town on 32nd Avenue are the Haynes Point Wetland Trails.Within the marshlands, there is an abundance of waterfowl and other bird life. Cottonwood Park is a good location to see Golden and Bald Eagles circle over Osoyoos Lake as they look for food to feed their young.
